After the Yankees blew a 3-0 series lead to the eventual World Series Champions Boston Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS, the Yankees came up with this marketing strategy to try and cushion the blow. Taken from the iconic Got Milk ads from the late 90s and early 2000s they used ‘Got Rings?’ Got rings is on the front of the shirt with the NY logo. The back has 26 rings for the Yankees and 6 for the Red Sox.
