In the 90s the biggest name in shoes was the Air Jordan, sure there were other players with signature shoes but they didn’t compare until Penny Hardaway hit the league. Nike backed Penny by giving him his own signature line. The famous marketing campaign was led by the Lil Penny campaign that was voiced by Chris Rock. The Nike Air Max Penny was one of the most sought after shoes, and is one of my personal favorites.
