Vintage New York City Recycling Garbage Pail Backpack. This piece is a cool piece of NYC. When NYC rolled out their recycling program back in the 90s they had a whole campaign dedicated around it. From signs, billboards and even t shirts they raised awareness about recycling. This bag is all nylon. It is dressed in all green and has a face on it along with arms and legs to make it look like a garbage pail person. The top has an ID card slot. The back list all the items that are to be recycled.
